FOYAE Gombe Partner with UNDP and GEF SGP to Empower 200 Women and Youth in Waste-to-Wealth Initiative

Foyae Gombe with support from UNDP in Nigeria United Nations Development Programme – UNDP and GEF Small Grants Programme successfully trained 200 community members in Kundulum comprising women and youth on converting waste to wealth. The training captured both the theoretical aspect of financial management, record keeping and entrepreneurship as a whole and the practical aspect of making meaningful and useful items out of plastic waste, paper/ carton waste, old fabrics, Bricket making etc. This we believe will improve household income as some of the participants have already started earning from sales of items they now produce. Thank you UNDP GEF Small Grants Programme for making this possible.
