FOYAE has successfully held a Knowledge Management and Project Close-Out Workshop marking the completion of the Building Resilience and Tackling Land Degradation in Kundulum Project. The workshop provided an important platform to reflect on the journey of the project, share experiences, document lessons learned, celebrate achievements and strengthen community ownership of the interventions.
The event captured an overview of the project, its key interventions and achievements.
One of the key highlights was the Community Experience Sharing Session, where members of the Community Environmental Protection Committee (CEPC), community representatives and the community leader shared their experiences, the changes they have observed and the benefits the project has brought to the community.
The workshop also featured goodwill messages from representatives of relevant MDAs, Civil Society Organisations, FOYAE Board of Trustees and other invited guests, who acknowledged the importance of the project and encouraged the community to sustain the gains achieved.
The UNDP GEF Small Grants Programme representative, Mrs Ujunwa Ehinnaya Agulanna, also shared remarks during the close-out session, highlighting the focal area of GEF, the importance of sustainability and applauded the project.
Another significant moment was the formal handover of project items to the community. As FOYAE closes this chapter in Kundulum, we appreciate our partners @ GEF Small grants Program for providing the platform to impact lives and Kundulum Community for the cooperation.
