Global Environmental Facility (GEF) and United Nations Development Project (UNDP) Project 2015 to 2017. TITTLE “Capacity building for sustainable tree planting and environmental protection in Malam-sidi, Kwami LGA, Gombe State, Nigeria”.

Foundation for Youth Awakening and Empowerment, FOYAE, has, had implemented a project titled ‘capacity building for sustainable tree planting and environmental protection in Malam sidi, Gombe state’. The project, funded by Global Environmental Facility (GEF) and United Nations Development Project (UNDP) includes Construction of four drainages, four refuse dump sites and a stone wall to mitigate the problem of flooding, erosion and environmental degradation in the community. The project also includes establishment of a community orchard (planted 2000 seedlings on a 3 hectares of land) to combat desert encroachment, reduce greenhouse emission, and combat poverty and malnutrition in the community.
