In the same vein, Foundation for Youth Awakening and Empowerment in collaboration with Gombe state Agency for Environmental Protection (GOSEPA) has, since

2012, been involved in community environmental sanitation in Gombe metropolis. This involves deciliation of drainages within the metropolis, clearing of refuse and evacuation of waste as well as sensitization of the general public. Also, FOYAE had carried a workshop on sanitation and environmental protection in Billiri town, Billiri LGA, Gombe state in 2014
